Pottery Workshops
We host wheel throwing and hand sculpting workshops at minro studio. Our pottery workshops welcomes any level and most of our participants are beginners. Our workshops range between a one-time class and up to four weeks of making! Weekend Wheel Throwing (November)
Weekend workshop
Spend your weekend with us and learn the basics of throwing on the wheel. We will focus on centering and pulling walls to create some precious pieces for you to keep or give away. You will also learn how to shape your pieces through trimming and if time permits, we will learn to attach handles, carve and more.
We will meet for three hours Saturday and Sunday. There will be a small break to get coffee or a snack!
Each person will keep about 4 pieces that we will glaze in one of custom glazes.
We need at least three participants for the workshops to happen, you must be 16+ to participate.
All classes include clay, underglaze/paint, glaze and firing.
We, unfortunately, can't accommodate or reimburse for missed classes.
You will need one ticket per person for both days

Hand Sculpting Workshop
Three week workshop
Join our incredible sculpting instructor, Jess, for a three-week sculpting workshop. Jess will guide you through the workshop and teach you more about sculpting techniques and creating beautiful pieces. This short workshop is perfect if you have been wanting to give ceramics a try. Sculpting is intuitive and calming and you’ll get to create pieces to keep or give away.
You will make around 3-4 pieces and choose glazes for them or paint them on your last day. We will glaze and fire them, and they will be ready in about four weeks. Let us know if you have questions at hello@minrostudio.com

Wheel Throwing Night
Join us for a wheel throwing night! Grab a friend, partner, parent or yourself, and try the wheel for two hours! We'll cover the basics of throwing technique: centering, pulling, shaping, and by the end of the night, you'll make 1-2 pieces that we will trim and glaze for you. No experience needed!
Your pieces will be ready in about four weeks, and can be picked up or shipped for an additional small fee. Let us know if you have questions at hello@minrostudio.com
