Kids workshops
Mondays (5-7 years)
Location: Minro Studio
Dates: 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29
Time: 3:45-5:15pm
Join us for a 4-week workshop where we will make Halloween/fall creations — monsters, ghosts, pumpkins etc. We will focus on pinch pots, coiling, carving and painting. We welcome up to six kids in each class who are looking for a fun activity where they will learn about the ceramic process from start to finish.
As the children are still young, our focus will be on exploring creativity and imagination, developing fine and gross motor skills and sensory play in general. We will play with shapes, colors and create objects. Each student will leave with 3-4 pieces that they will paint themselves.

Tuesdays (3-4 years)
Location: Minro Studio
Dates: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30
Time: 3:45-4:45pm

Wednesdays (8+) advanced
Location: Minro Studio
Dates: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8
Time: 4:45-6:15pm
Join us for a 4-week Advanced Sculpting Workshop!
Our talented instructor, Jess, will guide students in creating 1–2 detailed projects with a focus on craftsmanship, intricate design, and more advanced techniques.
This workshop is open to students who have attended at least one previous workshop with us. To register, please email us and we’ll send you the sign-up link.
Over the four weeks, Jess will introduce project options and it is also strongly encouraged that the students bring a printed photo of what they want to make. They’ll spend the first three classes carefully building their pieces, and the final class will be dedicated to painting and finishing.

Wheel throwing, 10+
Location: Minro Studio, 11135 Serenbe Ln, Unit 100
Dates: 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27
Time: 4-6pm
The wheel throwing workshop is for children who want to explore wheel throwing. The wheel is a powerful machine, so we want children to be at least 10 years old to join. Throughout the four weeks, they will learn basic skills on the wheel, trimming, and glazing. Students will make and glaze about 3-6 pieces in our studio glazes.
Class meets for two hours each week
Week 1: Get familiar with basic skills like centering, opening up and pulling walls
Week 2: Continuous exploration of centering and pulling walls
Week 3: Trimming pieces + surface design
Week 4: Glazing and painting all pieces / surface design
Pick up your pieces within 4-6 weeks of the last class. We will send you an email once they are ready.
We need at least three participants for the workshop to happen & you must be 18+ to participate.
All classes include clay, underglaze/paint, glaze and firing.

Wheel throwing - 12+
Join our first wheel workshop for kids! We will learn the basics of wheel throwing like centering, opening the clay and pulling walls. We will get familiar with the wheel and make some simple pieces. In this workshop we will also learn the art of trimming — shaping our pieces to our liking. It’ll be a great way to find out if your child wants to do a 4-week throwing workshop.
MLK Day - candle holder + paint
Location: Minro Studio, 11135 Serenbe Ln, Unit 100
Date: 1/20
Time: 9:30-11 (5-8 years) & 11:30-1pm (6+)
In this workshop we will create a candle holder with carvings and patterns. To go with our special candle holder we will paint on a pillar candle to make a cool set. It’ll be a beautiful set for the kids to keep or gift to someone special. Let us know if you have questions! Please check that you are signing up for the right age group below!

Thanksgiving workshop (8-12 years)

Dates: 11/25, 11/26, 11/27
Time: 11-12:30pm
Come in for a Thanksgiving workshop with a holiday theme! We will make Christmas ornaments, holiday presents and have a good time! The first two days we are making whatever our imagination lets us and the last day we will paint the creations!
We need at least three participants to have the workshop.

Fall break workshop (5-8 years)

Dates: 10/10 and 10/11
Time: 9-10:30am
Celebrate fall break and create Halloween or fall decorations at Minro Studio! Join us for a two-day workshop where we will make Halloween or fall inspired decorations! Day 1 will be all pottery making, shaping your pieces from scratch, and on day 2 we will paint our creations and bring them to life!
