Animal and creature workshop - 8-12 years

Ready for a summer of creativity?

We’re opening our space for the kids to get creative and learn a new craft the month of July. Our workshop runs for four weeks and we like to keep our classes small.

Over the four weeks, your young ones will dive into the wonderful world of ceramics, learning the basics of handbuilding – coils, pinch pots, and slab techniques. The workshop is not just about crafting; it's about nurturing creativity, mastering new skills, and building confidence in crafting their own unique pieces.

Expect colors, shapes, and the creation of adorable creatures and animals! Each little artist will get to paint 2-3. of their pieces, which we'll finish off with a clear glaze.

When possible the kids will be able to try the potter’s wheel at the end of class with the help of an instructor.

All classes include clay, underglaze/paint, glaze and firing.

We will need at least three kids to participate or the workshop will be cancelled.

The pieces will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks after the last class.

Ceramics are created using earth, fire, air and water and sometimes these four elements have their own mind. Our classes are all about the experience, however, if for any reason, some breakage happens, we cannot provide a refund, but will give a discount for a new class.
